Terms of service

What you get, what we expect from you, and what we are responsible for.

Last updated 12 September 2026

1. The service

AnswerWatch measures how often AI assistants name your brand when buyers ask questions in your category. A scan asks a set of questions to one or more AI engines, records the answers, and reports where your brand appeared, next to the competitors you name.

AI engines do not give the same answer twice, and we do not control what they say. Reports describe what a given engine said on a given day. They are a measurement, not a promise about your future visibility.

2. Accounts

A one-off scan needs no account. Monitoring does, because it has to attach results and billing to someone. Keep your password to yourself and tell us promptly if you think someone else has it. You are responsible for activity under your account.

3. Plans, trials and billing

Paid plans are subscriptions that renew automatically — monthly or yearly, whichever you chose — until you cancel. Every paid plan starts with a 7-day free trial. Prices are shown in your local currency before you pay, calculated from your location.

Paddle is the merchant of record for every purchase. Paddle processes the payment, calculates and remits applicable taxes, and issues your invoice and receipt. Their name, not ours, will usually appear on your card statement, and their buyer terms apply to the payment itself.

You can cancel at any time from your billing settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal. It does not shorten the period you have already paid for, and you keep access until that period ends.

4. Acceptable use

Do not use the service to:

  • scan domains you have no right to analyse, or to harass a competitor;
  • resell or redistribute reports as your own product without our written agreement;
  • probe, overload or bypass the limits of the service, or use it to break the law.

We may suspend an account that does these things. If we suspend a paid account for a reason other than these terms, we will refund the unused part of the period.

5. Your content and our output

You keep everything you give us — your domains, brand details and competitor lists. You give us permission to use it only to run the service for you.

You may use the reports, briefs and files we generate for your own business or for your clients. Do not present them as an endorsement by any AI provider.

6. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the service running, but it depends on third-party AI providers we do not control, and a scan can fail because one of them is unavailable. We may change or retire features. If we discontinue a plan you are paying for, we will refund the unused part.

7. Liability

The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, the operator of this service is not liable for lost profits, lost business or indirect losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before it arose. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

8. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction set by the operator.

Contact details are unset. See the contact page for the current status.

This page is not finished

The values below are unset, so this page cannot serve as a binding agreement yet. They are not defaulted on purpose — a placeholder would ship without anyone noticing.

Set them in .env.local (see .env.example). See the go-live checklist in docs/02-上线手册.md.
